Haagen Bath Ballistic

Haagen Bath
Haagen Bath was a beautiful mint scented bath bomb, that seemed to melt away father than fizz, it was very creamy and slightly foamy the bath bomb left the water a unique clouded pink colour. Overall this bath bomb was very nice and if I see them in the kitchen I will be purchasing some.

Snow Fairy Shower Gel

Snow Fairy
'When the days are dark, add a little Christmas magic to your shower and some much-needed sparkle to your daily routine. This candyfloss-scented shower gel will gently cleanse hair and body and leave a mouthwatering perfume on your skin. Shower with a gel that's sure to tickle you pink by picking up this candyfloss body cleanser.'

I really don't understand the hype surrounding this product, while it smells delightful, the scent doesn't linger on your body and it doesn't lather very well. I wouldn't say its a bad product, but I was expected something a lot more special after all the wonderful things I have heard about it.

Pink Moon Knot-Wrap

Pink Moon Knot-Wrap
'When the stars are in the sky and the spooks of the night come out to play, the moon becomes a Rorschach test of gruesome faces casting mysterious shadows. Like a watercolour, pinks, purples, whites and reds mingle in stunning, vivid colour in this wrap made from recycled plastic bottles. When it comes to astronomically good ways of gift-wrapping, the sky's the limit. If you fancy creating your own celestial body, why not wear it as a bandana or headscarf?'

I bought this because I really liked the colours and pattern, I honestly have no idea if or when I am going to wear it, maybe I will next Halloween.

Whoosh Shower Jelly

Whoosh

'If you’re a little wobbly with overtiredness, Whoosh will give you the oomph you need. Its zingy fragrance and slinky feel will blast away fatigue, especially if you chill this jelly in the fridge or freezer beforehand. We’ve mixed seaweed, fresh citrus juices, rosemary and geranium oils into this pot. Scoop some of the gel out and use like a soap to cleanse and lift away dead skin cells, leaving you brighter and fresher.'

I am currently using this as a whole jelly as a soap, but there are other ways to use shower jellies. You can cut it into cubes and mush it in a sponge to use in the shower, you can run a lump under the taps when filling the bath to use as a bubble bar, or you could use it as a whole thing like a bar of soap.

'Whoosh' smells great and wakes you up, and lathers up great. However the jelly does start to disintegrate if you leave it wet between uses. Overall  I love this product and will definitely repurchase it when I run out.

Sandstone Soap

Sandstone Soap
'An uplifting and skin-smoothing citrus soap that brings to mind the beaches of Brazil. Waves of sand and a lemony scent will transport you to a tropical beach, sipping seaside cocktails. We've used the incredibly uplifting litsea cubeba oil to wake up your mind, then wake up your skin with the sandy scrub. It's the perfect soap for summer, or whenever you want to feel bright and breezy.'

This is an overall pleasant soap with gentle citrus notes. The sand that gives this soap it's name is very abrasive, which can be both a positive and a negative quality. This roughness is great to get rid of hard skin on the bottoms of your feet but not for sensitive parts of you skin. Sandstone creates quite a good foamy lather that leaves the skin feeling clean but not dried out. I would consider repurchasing this soap when I have run out of the soap I have.

Sultana Of Soap

Sultana of Soap
'If your skin’s feeling drier than a desert, Sultana of Soap is your oasis. We’ve mixed loads of dried fruits like apricots, cranberries and currants in with olibanum oil, which is fabulous for replenishing moisture and soothing you. To make it smell even more gorgeous, we’ve added a splash of cheering bergamot oil.'

This is currently the soap I am using in the bathroom. It sits in a soap dish in the wall at the side of the bath, which is why I think this soap has been shrinking as quickly as it is. It could also be down to my mother using it when she thinks I'm not aware. This soap doesn't smell particularly amazing, but it does form a silky lather that leaves your hands squeaky clean. I wouldn't object to buying another piece of this soap in the future once my soap pile has shrunk a little more.

Cupid's Love Soap

Cupid's Love
I have had a piece of this soap near the kitchen sink for well over a month (nearing two) and it seems as if it has stayed the same size. The lather on this soap isn't great, but it does smell delicious, a lot like apple and cinnamon pie, and not like the passion fruit and figs that it contains. The smell however doesn't linger much after use, which can be both positive and negative depending on the situation/person.
Soap usually makes my skin feel dry and over-used but  'Cupids Love' made my skin feel soft and smooth.

Luxury Lush Pud Bath Bomb

Luxury Lush Pud
This is one of the most beautiful Lush bath bombs that I had tried, up to this date. It is by far the most colourful, turning the water a beautiful pink with silver lustre floating in the water. 'Luxury Lush Pud' shares its lavender scent with a pre-existing product, the famous 'Twilight' bath bomb.
Once I was finished soaking in the bath water, pulled the plug and let the water drain, I was left with a pink stain around the bath. The mark however was removable with quite a bit of scrubbing.

Romance in a Stone Bath Bomb

Romance in a Stone
My Romance in a Stone is from an old batch so I think the scent must have faded a little from its original glory, however it still smelt a little like rose potpourri. It's quite a small bath bomb, with little colour but the flower petals made up for that.

I had not looked into this bath bomb before I used it, so I was quite surprised to find a folded piece of paper in its centre. I unfolded it to reveal the final verse of 'To His Coy Mistress' by Andrew Marvell, which may seem  romantic at a first read, but after studying it in class I know that not to be the case.

This bath bomb was nice but nothing amazing, but wasn't at all an unpleasant experience.

Error 404 Ballistic

Error 404

I received Error 404 in a competition prize bundle, so it was quite an old bath bomb (from the April 2014 Lush Kitchen batch), it therefore had lost its scent. Aside from there being no scent whatsoever, the colour this bath bomb turned the water was a beautiful blue smattered with a large amount of gold glitter. The glitter did leave a large amount of residue in the bath after it had been emptied, however it didn't detract from the overall enjoyment of the bath. Error 404 gave quite a show, the gold glitter giving way to a vibrant blue, that in turn dissolving away to show a glitter core.

I would like to try this product again sometime, when it is fresh and still has a scent. When/if this happens I will be sure to update this review.

Charity Pot Hand and Body Lotion

Charity Pot

'An all-round body lotion that does a lot of good - and not just to your skin. A rich and generous cream that not only helps your skin to look its best, but also adds a glow to the small grassroots charities we work with, as all proceeds go directly to them. With every purchase of Charity Pot, we donate 100% of the price (minus the taxes) to small, grassroots organisations that could use the helping hand to continue the incredible work that they do.'

The 10g pots of this cream are ideal to keep in your handbag. The cream leaves you skin soft and silky, it isn't greasy, and you don't need a lot so one of these pots last a long time. The scent isn't amazing, but it isn't at all unpleasant. Every time I am in a Lush store or when I order online, I put one of these in my basket, at only £1 per pot they are cheap for the length of time each one lasts. Lush also donates the money raised by the Charity Pots to good organisations.

Sweetie Pie Shower Jelly

Sweetie Pie

'A shower jelly with cherries, bergamot, blackcurrant and sparkles for wobbly fun. We make an infusion with cherries and coconut, and then add carrageenan seaweed extract and boil it up to make a jelly. Cassis absolute gives a blackcurrant fragrance alongside a light refreshing note from the bergamot and cypress oil.'

I love shower jellies they are such fun and have a great concept. There are different ways in which people use shower jellies. I use mine by cutting a jelly up into small cubes and then putting them back in the tub. Every time I have a shower I take one cube and massage it into a wet sponge. It creates a good lather.

Sweetie Pie smells amazing, both sweet and fruity notes, the same scent as The Comforter. Aside from being quite messy to use, with it being so slippery, Sweetie Pie is a great product.

Mother Superior Bubble Bar

Mother Superior

Mother Superior has been given the description 'Give us today our daily bath and deliver us from uncleanliness with delicate floral bubbles that unfurl like cherry blossoms in the spring.' I can't smell the cherry blossoms, but they are right about the cleanliness, I found this bubble bar to smell clean - like freshly washed linen.

It wasn't an unpleasant scent but I don't know how I feel about it in a bath product. I cut Mother Superior up into five pieces and it made plenty of bubbles and made the water a pretty shade of blue.

Popcorn Lip Scrub

Popcorn Lip Scrub
Popcorn lip scrub is described as 'Popcorn makes sure your lips are the main feature thanks to the special effects of coconut oil, sugar and sea salt. You’ll be ready for your close-up once Popcorn’s sugar, sea salt and polenta combine with coconut and jojoba oils to buff and prime your lips – without leaving a film. Just gently rub the popping candy-sweet scrub onto your lips with a clean finger, and your Hollywood smile is all set.'

Popcorn smells amazing, just like popcorn and tastes great, although it is a little too salty. It makes your lips extremely soft, but you have to be careful not to scrub too hard or use it too often of your lips will get sore. At first this product was hard to use, but I soon got the hang of it.

Popcorn is a great product to keep in your bag as it is in a small compact jar, and is easy to use with practice.

Space Girl Ballistic

Space Girl

Space Girl was the first product I ever brought from Lush and is described as 'A space-dust filled bath bomb with a sweet and fruity fragrance. Once you drop this into your bath, Space Girl crackles with space dust (popping candy) as it spins around your orbit, restoring your good cheer. Grapefruit oil is refreshing and uplifting for the mood, clarifying and toning the skin, while bergamot makes you feel relaxed and cheerful.'

The minute I put Space Girl in the bath it make it look like a nebula, it was beautiful. the sweet, fruity scent was strong but not overpowering, it made my skin silky soft and I could still smell the scent on my body a few hours later.
